TestProcess.Measure.Current.DC.Delta.Current.LoadEffect

The process measures the change in the unloaded output current of a device under test to a loaded output current.

The unloaded current is measured from the device under test’s output when the output is shorted, requiring little voltage to drive the current. Then the output is loaded, requiring more voltage (total watts) to drive the current through the load.  Then loaded output current is measured.  The resulting measured value is then reported as a change in the unloaded current to loaded current (Loaded current – unloaded current).

This test is commonly performed on DC power supplies under a  95%  wattage load.

Required Parameters

  • Amps – A – Output Current
  • Volts – V – Output Voltage

Optional Parameters

  • UUT.Output – Output Name of the UUT Connecting Point

Measured Value & Uncertainty

  • Amps – Change / Delta Current under the condition
