TestProcess.Measure.Ratio.PulseModulation.CWtoPulsedPower

A test process that measures the Pulsed Power level of an RF signal as compared to the unmodulated CW signal.  Where the signal level is first measured in a CW mode and stored as the reference measurement, then the signal is pulse-modulated and the peak RF signal is measured.

Note – This measurement is typically made with a sampling scope.  Where the measurement windows can be clearly defined avoiding overshoot and undershoot of the pulsed signals.  As well as false/low measurements made in the rise and fall time regions of the signal.

Required Parameters

  • Power
  • Frequency

Optional Parameters

  • Impedance –
  • PulseWidth –
  • PulsePeriod –
  • UUT.Output – Output Name of the UUT Connecting Point

Output Value & Uncertainty

  • dB – 20 * Log( Measured Value / Reference Value)
  • % – Measured Value / Reference Value * 100
